1cupall purpose flour
1cupmilk
1 1/2cupsugarreserve half cup for topping
1tspbaking powder
1/2tspvanilla
1canpeaches (29 oz)
1stickbutter
Directions: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray. Put the stick of butter in the pan, place the pan in the oven and let it melt. While it's melting, mix the remaining ingredients (except peaches) together until there are no lumps. Remove pan with melted butter from oven and poor batter over butter. Drain half the juice from the peaches before pouring peaches over the batter, making sure they're spread evenly in the pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar over top. Bake for 35 minutes, turn the oven off and leave in the oven for 10 more minutes before removing. Serve warm.
