Veggie Cheese People

Easy Strawberry Pecan Fudge
Applebee's Blond Brownies

How many of you parents have told your kids “Don’t play with your food!” during a meal? Wouldn’t it be a fun surprise for your children to hear “Time to play with your food!”? That would make you the coolest parent on the block! That’s exactly what you can do with Veggie Cheese People.

The kids and I played with veggies and cheese to make some pretty wild looking people.  It was fun to take the colorful shapes and stick them together with skewers and toothpicks. Modern art, yes?

And a bonus: When a piece of raw yellow squash is a head, it is somehow more appetizing to a small child. Funny how that works. Sneaky mommies unite!
